Colony hospitals to be fully developed in Delhi: CM
New Delhi, Aug 30 (UNI) An effort would be made to fully develop all colony hospitals so as to decongest major hospitals in the capital, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said today.
She was speaking after inauguration of emergency, OPD, maternity, operation theatre and homoeopathy services at Sardar Vallabh Patel Hospital in Patel Nagar.
A number of colony hospitals would be developed to cater to a population of two to three lakh people in the areas, Ms Dikshit said.
The 50-bed hospital at Patel Nagar -- which the Delhi government took over from the MCD on October 1, 1996 -- would be upgraded to a 100-bed hospital, she added.
