AP officials dismissed for taking bribes
Hyderabad, Aug 30 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government dismissed two officials following their conviction in bribery cases.
A former mandal surveyor of Dharmasagar Mandal in Warangal District following his conviction by Principal Special Judge for ACB cases in a bribery case.
He was sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for two years and pay a fine of Rs 3000.
The government also dismissed Pollution Control Board Executive Engineer Syed Abdul Moiz in a similar case.
He was convicted by the Principal Special Judge for ACB Case in July last year. Moiz was sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year and a pay of fine of Rs 1000.
Meanwhile, the Special Judge for ACB Cases, Vijayawada, convicted Former Tenali Assistant Director Agriculture P Venkateswarulu to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year and pay a fine of Rs 5000 in a bribery case.
Another release from ACB said a Motor Vehicle inspector of the city was arrested in a bribery case.
K Madhava Rao was caught red-handed when he accepted a bribe of Rs 4000 from a complainant.
In the second case, Peddoddi Village Panchayat Secretary in Anantapur District T Noor Basha was trapped by the ACB officials when he accepted Rs 800 as illegal gratification from the complainant.
The accused were arrested and produced before Special Judge for ACB cases here.
