Anti-nationals opposing Vande Mataram: RSS
New Delhi, Aug 30 (UNI) The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) fully supports compulsory singing of the National Song Vande Mataram in schools and colleges on September 7, Sarsanghchalak K S Sudarshan said today.
''Why not. Everyone should sing it,'' he said here when reporters sought his comments on the controversy and the opposition to the compulsory rendering of the song by a section of Muslim leadership.
''The controversy is political in nature...only anti-nationals are opposing the song,'' he said.
The RSS chief was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function where he released a book titled ''Samrasta Ka Sootra'' (The Basis of Harmony) edited by Ramesh Patange and Tarun Vijay.
