All party delegation to meet PM tomorrow

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 30 (UNI) A 24-member all-party delegation from Kerala led by Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today left for New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh seeking political clearance for the proposed Rs 4,200-crore Deep Sea Trans-shipment Terminal Project at Vizhinjam among other issues.

Union Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed, Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy, Law Minister M Vijayakumar, Water Resources Minister N K Premachandran, Thiruvananthapuram MP Panniyan Ravindran, Pradesh Congress President Ramesh Chennithala, BJP leader O Rajagopal, CMP leader M V Raghavan and Mr M P Veerendra Kumar, MP, are among those included in the delegation.

The delegation would also be taking up the Mullaperiyar Dam issue, the safety of which was causing concern to the state.

The issue of hiked flight charges on the Kerala-Gulf sector would also be taken up with the Prime Minister.
