Air Sahara launches Fly Unlimited offer

New Delhi, Aug 30 (UNI) Air Sahara today introduced an innovative scheme which offers unlimited travel within and outside the country for a fixed amount.

A passenger pays Rs 699 per day for a year and can travel from anywhere to anywhere on the airline's domestic network. For 90 days the amount is Rs 799, for 60 days Rs 899 and for 30 days Rs 999.

For international destinations like Singapore, Kathmandu and Colombo, the amount goes up by Rs 100 per day. For each journey, the taxes will be borne by a passenger. Bookings for travel beginning September 4 will start tomorrow.

''We're basically angling for committed business,'' said Air Sahara's president Alok Sharma. ''The Fly Unlimited offer will be extremely attractive for frequent fliers who want to cut on hotel costs.'' Recently, the airline announced adding 66 new flights and 14 new destinations in the next four months, connecting international cities like Guangzhou in China, Dhaka in Bangladesh and Male in the Maldives.

Within the country, it will soon fly to second tier cities like Chandigarh, Indore, Bhopal, Vadodara, Raipur and Nagpur as well. The airline is also targeting tourist destinations like Jodhpur, Khajuraho, Port Blair, Trivandrum and Udaipur.

Air Sahara has also placed its first direct order to purchase 10 Boeing 737-800 aircraft worth over 700 million dollars (about Rs 3,290 crore) at list prices. At present, the airline has 18 new generation B737-700 and 800 besides classics 737-300 and 400 on lease.
