Young woman attempts to murder children

Dharwad, Aug 29: A 25-year-old woman allegedly attempted to murder her two kids and commit suicide at Tadkod village in this district of Karnataka.

Police said yesterday that one Sangeeta Pujar allegedly injected her son Basayya (4) and daughter Jyoti (2) with pesticide, before injecting herself, unable to bear the harassment meted out by her husband yesterday.

All the three have been admitted to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences here, police added.
