Tulip gets NLD Licence from DoT
New Delhi, Aug 29: Tulip IT Services Ltd today said it has received the National Long Distance (NLD) Licence from the Department of Telecom (DoT).
With this, the company will continue to provide data connectivity services under its new NLD license in the burgeoning Virtual Private Network (VPN) bandwidth market.
Tulip IT Services Ltd has been conferred the NLD licence based on the new licence requirement laid down by the DoT as per which, all IP/VPN service providers were required to migrate to the NLD license.
Tulip is a provider of end-to-end networking solutions. This includes customised solutions for bandwidth and networking gear.
It has more than 900 employees and its headquarters are located in New Delhi with regional offices in Mumbai and Chennai.
This announcement comes a month after the company received the Letter of Intent (LOI) for National Long Distance and International Long Distance (NLD and ILD) licence by the DoT.
