Sonia Gandhi may visit flood-hit Barmer

Jaipur, Aug 29: Congress president Sonia Gandhi is expected to visit the flood-hit Barmer district.

Congress sources here said the PCC has requested Mrs Gandhi to take stock of the situation in Barmer. At least 103 deaths were reported from the district alone. The total flood toll in Rajasthan is 138.

Congress state president B D Kalla is touring the worst hit Malwa village today where 39 people have lost their lives. Mr Kalla is preparing for Mrs Gandhi's visit.

A Barmer UNI report said that Mrs Gandhi may visit Malwa tomorrow.
