Bangalore, Aug 29: SolidWorks Corporation, a leading supplier of 3D CAD technology, today said it would finalise its investment proposal in Indian operations for 2007 soon.

SolidWorks CEO John J McEleney told newspersons here that it would be discriminately higher than other investment destinations and the investment could be double when compared to other countries.

He, however, declined to come out with the exact numbers.

SolidWorks had its development centres in Pune and Mumbai, besides technical support and marketing team in Bangalore with the total strength being around 70.

Stating that India would be its major destination as it had tremendous market potential, Mr McEleney said even multinationals with whom his company had links were keen that SolidWorks had its tech support team positioned in India.

He announced the launch of its latest generation CAD software SolidWorks 2007, powered by revolutionary SWIFT (SolidWorks Intelligent Feature Technology) and offered design teams unprecedented opportunities to work faster and smarter in the quest for better products. For the first time, expert level techniques had been incorported in a CAD software.
