Lalu gives Rs one lakh to Visva Bharati

Santiketan , Aug 29: Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today granted Rs one lakh to Visva Bharati for erecting a stage for holding cultural functions at the campus.

Mr Prasad, who arrived here in a saloon car today morning, took a tour of the campus.

Later the students of the campus welcomed the Minister with a dance and song recital. Pleased with their performance and the depth of cultural heritage the institution had, Mr Prasad announced a sop of Rs one lakh from Railway funds for erecting a stage fior holding cultural functions.

He visited Rabindra Museum, Urttarayan, Prarthana Griha and the university.
