Flood toll reaches 126 in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Aug 29: The death toll due to heavy rains and flood in Madhya Pradesh reached 126 even as 7 people were still missing.

As many as 8950 heads of cattle perished, more than 7000 in Bhopal alone, while 88,391 houses damaged.

Official sources said Bhopal recorded highest 24 deaths, followed by 15 in Badwani, 13 in Mandsaur, 11 in Ratlam and 9 in Indore.

Ten relief camps were still functioning in Jhabua district.
