Akron, Ohio, Aug 27 (UNI) Shiv Kapur once again lost his way after making a good start as he carded a disappointing four-over 72 to finish tied 65th in the 7.5 million dollar Bridgestone Invitational European PGA Tour World Golf Championship here.

Shiv managed just one birdie against five bogeys to slip two places down the leaderboard with a four-day total of 13-over 293.

The Indian, playing his back nine first, gained a shot on the 12th after dropping two shots on the 10th and 11th but it all went downhill for him after that. He bogeyed the 14th and the 15th to make the turn at three-over.

His front nine was not better either and he dropped a shot on the third to finish the tournament on a disappointing note at the Firestone Country Club.

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods beat Stewart Cink in a four-hole playoff to win the title.

The victory completed a successful title defense for Woods, who has now won four straight tournaments and a total of six in 2006.

Woods fired a scintillating two-under 68 to take his touranemnt total to 10-under 270. Cink, meanwhile, scored a 69 to match the Tiger in the aggregate total but lost the title in the playoff to finish as runner-up.

Another American, Jim Furyk was a shot behind the duo after firing a 68 in the final round.
