Passenger suffers chest pain, flight makes emergency landing

Chennai, Aug 28 (UNI) A Paris-bound Kuala Lampur Malaysian Airlines Flight made an emergency landing at the Anna International Airport here past midnight at 0015 hrs.

Airport sources told UNI, a 58-year-old passenger complained of severe chest pain when the aircraft was in the Chennai airspace prompting the pilot to contact the Air Traffic Control for making an emergency landing.

On landing, the passenger was immediately rushed to the Apollo Hospitals here. He was accompanied by his wife.

The aircraft later left for Paris at around 0330 hrs, the sources said.
