One held in A'bad Airport for possessing live cartridge
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Aug 28 (UNI) City's MIDC Police has arrested a 21-year-old youth at the Airport for possessing a live cartridge.
Police sources told UNI that the youth identified as Sayyed Jahir Qureshi who was to leave by IC 888 plane for Delhi last night, was arrested after it was revealed that he was possessing a .9 mm live cartridge in his pocket during the security check at the Airport.
An offence has been registered against the youth under section 3(25) of the Indian Arms Act.
Meanwhile, a report from Nanded UNI Correspondent said that the Vajirabad police tonight found two live cartridges and five dead cartridges laying abandoned at the Railway Station area in Nanded.
These cartridges were kept in an empty tin-box. The police swung into action after receiving a telephone call informing them about the suspected tin-box.
A massive search operation was carried out in and around the railway station locality after the incident, the sources at the Vajirabad police station told UNI in Nanded.
