Hideout busted huge cache of arms and explosive recovered

Poonch, Aug 28 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police have busted a militant hideout and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition, including highly explosive four kg of TNT, in the Morsar forest under Subjian area of Poonch district, police said today.

A police party acting on a tip off, launched a search operation in the Morsar forest area yesterday and detected a hideout of militants from where they recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition.

The recovery includes four kg of TNT, two UBGLs, two Chinese hand grenades, seven IEC remote control batteries, one remote control switch, three silencers, 21 UBGL grenades, five HD trip flairs, six anti tank rifle grenades, four 82 mm mortar bombs, two electric detonators, one grenade discharge switch, one HMG belt, one HMG round, 18 AK rifle rounds, one missile type bomb and two bags, the sources added.

They said in view of a large scale recovery of arms and ammunition more police parties have been rushed into the forest area on search mission of such hideouts and for nabbing the militants.
