Hyderabad, Aug 28 (UNI) Eighteen MLAs of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti were suspended from the service of the House for the day by the Andhra Pradesh Assembly as they had disrupted the proceedings for the fourth consecutive day today, demanding a debate on their Adjournment Motion and a resolution recommending the Centre to form a separate Telangana state.

The TRS members were physically removed by the Marshals from the House as they refused to leave even after suspension.

Soon after the House met for the day, the TRS members led by floor leader G Vijaya Rama Rao rushed to the well of the House holding placards and shouting ''Jai Telangana, Jai Jai Telangana'' slogans, throwing the House into utter pandemonium.

Speaker K R Suresh Reddy repeatedly requested the members to go back to their seats and allow the proceedings. He also assured that even the Telangana issue could be discussed in the House in consultation with the floor leaders of different parties.

As the TRS members did not heed to his advise, the Speaker adjourned the House for half-an-hour and held discussions with floor leaders. They reportedly expressed consensus that the TRS members should be suspended for a day to allow the House to take up important issues.

Mr Reddy directed the Minister for Legislative Affairs K Rosaiah to move a resolution for the suspension of the members, soon after the House re-assembled.

Mr Rosaiah moved the resolution for suspension of the TRS legislators for the Day under sub-rule 2 of rule 300 of the Assembly proceedings which was approved by a voice vote.
