Banned drug seized in Tuglakabad

New Delhi, Aug 28 (UNI) Police have seized a banned drug worth Rs two crores from Tuglakabad Inland Container Depot in South Delhi and arrested one person in this regard.

In a late night raid yesterday, police arrested one Vinod Sharma from Kalkaji area of South Delhi following a tip-off, said DCP (South) Anil Shukla.

His interrogation led to the recovery of 4,400 kg of banned Methaquolene. The market value of the seized drug is about Rs 200 crores, he said.

Police have announced a reward of Rs 500 for every kilogram of Methquolene seized, the DCP added.
