Vande Mataram recital compulsory on Sept 7 in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, Aug 27 (UNI) Chhattisgarh government has made recital of 'Vande Mataram' compulsory in all educational institutions on September seven to mark the centenary celebrations of the National Song.
Official sources said the state government has issued a circular to all educational institutions asking them to ensure recital of the National Song at 1100 hours on September seven.
The circular stated that first two stanzas of 'Vande Mataram must be recited.
The notification comes at a time when the state BJP unit has also decided to organise separate functions on the day to recite National Song in all the 16 districts of the state to create awareness among the people on issues of nationalism.
