Six dead as mini-bus hit pedestrians in Jammu

Jammu, Aug 27 (UNI) At least six people died and an equal number were injured when a minibus hit pedestrians and later turned turtle near Digiana Ashram on the outskirts of the city this morning.

Police told UNI that a mini bus, lost control after hitting the pedestrians at two points and turned turtle.

Official said six persons died on the spot and equal number were injured in the accident. The driver of the minibus has been arrested for negligent and reckless driving.

All the injured have been admitted to the government medical college where the condition of two persons was said to be critical.
