Sikhs protest forcible cutting of Sikh boy's hair in Jaipur

Bangalore, Aug 27 (UNI) Members of the International Sikh Forum today took out a protest march to the Raj Bhavan against the recent forcible shearing of a Sikh boy's hair in Jaipur by some miscreants.

The Forum, which submitted a memorandum to Governor T N Chaturvedi, long hair was an integral part of the Sikh identity. The act had led to widespread dissent and deep concern among the Sikhs ''about the deteriorating levels of social security and human rights in the country.'' UNI MSP GD VD VC1649
