Police bust credit card gang

New Delhi, Aug 27 (UNI) The Delhi Police have arrested three people including a former engineer of the BSES who had been cheating many banks including the State Bank of India(SBI) of lakhs of rupees by using fake credit cards.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) Ravinder Yadav said the police nabbed Manoj Kumar Shastri, Mukesh Kumar and Ajay Tomar for allegedly cheating SBI, NDMC, DDA, BSES.

The gang cheated the banks of more than Rs 30 lakhs by using fake credit cards.

The SBI Credit Card Fraud Control Unit had lodged the complaint that Manoj Kumar, the former BSES employee, had cheated it of Rs 6 lakh by allegedly impersonating as an employee of the NDMC.

Further investigation was on.
