One person dies 11 injured in explosion in Chamba
Shimla, Aug 27 (UNI) One person was killed and eleven others injured in an explosion in Bharmour tribal area of Chamba district today.
The explosion took place around 0445 hours in a tea shop in the Chowrasi temple complex. The impact of the blast was so intense that the shutter flew off and hit a passer-by who died on the spot, police said.
The injured were standing outside the toilet when the blast took place. They were shifting to the local hospital and were said to be out of danger.
Suprintendent of Police Chamba, Upinder Thakur said the cause of explosion could not be ascertained. He said forensic experts have been called in investigate the blast.
The exploson could be due to leakage of LGP but the cylinder was intact, he said.
SP and senior police officers have reached the spot and investigations on.
The deceased was yet to be indentified but the initial enquiry revealed that he hailed from Bhadarwa area of Jammu.
A large number of pilgrims come to Bharmour during the Manimesh yeatra which is underway.
