MFTPL to showcase trucks at Hannover auto show

New Delhi, Aug 27 (UNI) Man Force Trucks Pvt Ltd (MFTPL) will showcase its four Indian-made heavy trucks at the 'Truck and Bus Show' to be held in Hannover, Germany on September 19.

''We are showing the made-in-India trucks at the world's largest auto show for the global markets. At Hannover, customers will come from the world's auto trade, the largest fleet owners from all countries and continents. These are the people and regions for these trucks,'' Force Motors CMD Abhay Firodia said.

All the four trucks, weighing over 20 tonnes together, have been flown out in a chartered super jumbo jet from Bombay Sahar Airport to Hannover.

The JV, with an installed production capacity of 24,000 trucks per year, proposes to export 50 per cent of them to various countries in Central Asia, Africa, South America and Australasia.

MFTPL is a 70:30 joint venture between Force Motors Ltd and MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG. Force Motors holds a 70 per cent stake in the venture, that came into existence on April 30, 2006.

The product range with trucks from 16 tonnes GVW to 49 tonnes GCW includes tractor trailors, multi-axle rigids, tippers and various special purpose vehicles.
