Four-day Int'l Conf on Central Asia in Kashmir from tomorrow
Srinagar, Aug 27 (UNI) A four-day international conference on ''Central Asia in Retrospect and Prospect'' would be held here from tomorrow.
The Conference, being organised by the Centre of Central Asian Studies (CCAS) of Kashmir University, would be the first of its kind with participation from across the globe.
Reputed international scholars and intellectuals from the US, Holland, Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Korea and Japan besides, ambassadors and diplomats of various Central Asian countries would take part in the conference.
The aim of the conference is to foster the relationship and share academic resources for mutual understanding.
The conference will be inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lt Gen (Retd) S K Sinha, who is also the Chancellor of Kashmir University, and presided over by Chief Minister and Pro-Chancellor Ghulam Nabi Azad.
