Exhibition on peace opens in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Aug 27 (UNI) The exhibition ''Gandhi, King, Ikeda: A Legacy of Building Peace'', which was inaugurated by Gujarat Governor Nawal Kishore Sharma here, opened today for public viewing.

Jointly organised by Bharat Soka Gakkai (BSG) and Gujarat Vidyapith at the Sanskar Kendra, Paldi here, the week-long exhibition has a message of how to make an individual who is part of a larger society understand what is peace and how it is vital for the betterment of a society.

With the exhibition's motif being peace it is no wonder that the lives of the three great - men Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Daisaku Ikeda have been showcased here. One is a Hindu, the other Christian and the third a Buddhist who is still alive at 73.

He is Daisaku Ikeda from Japan.

The three, who represent different countries and cultures, are linked by the fact they had a vision and worked towards its realization with determination despite great obstacles.
