Dream Big, start your own Cos: Idly boy's message to students
Chennai, Aug 27 (UNI) IIM-A Graduate Sarath Babu's rags to riches story is no secret.
The pragmatic ''idli boy'', as he is better known, who floated his own catering services company after turning down a whopping Rs 8.50 lakh per month job offer, went down memory lane, as the media caught up with him. The occasion was the ninth Annual Workshop organised by the Ullas Trust and Polaris here yesterday.
Speaking in a relaxed mood, he exhorted the young students passing out from premier institutions to set up their own firms to create jobs and offer employment opportunities instead of working for other companies.
The Founder and CEO of FoodKing Catering Services Private Limited said one thing that did not trouble the purse was dreaming. ''Since it did not cost any money, it's better to dream big. The students should think of what they wanted to be in 2020'', he added.
Turning nostalgic, he narrated the tough times he underwent and recalled his idli-selling days during childhood.
