Rajasthan to spend Rs 5.81 cr on temple renovation
Jaipur, Aug 26 (UNI) In a bid to boost religious tourism in the state, the government will spend Rs 5.81 crore on the renovation and development of temples and its surroundings during the current financial year.
A government spokesman today said the Devasthan department has identified 115 temples initially to be renovated under the scheme.
Around Rs 315.14 lakh was spent for the purpose last financial year while this year, the state government has cleared Rs 580.95 lakh.
The spokesman said Rs 435.95 lakh will be spent on renovation and overall development of Tripur Sundari Temple in Banswara district.
The developmental master plan of one of the most visited Khatushyamji temple has been prepared by the department.
