PIB to organise public information campaign in AP

Hyderabad, Aug 26 (UNI) The first Public Information Campaign(PIC) on 'Bharat Nirman' in Andhra Pradesh will be conducted in Nalgonda by the Press Information Bureau(PIB ) here in collaboration with other media units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting from August 29 to September 2.

A PIB release said here today that the PIC was an innovative and novel method of disseminating developmental information to the rural folk of the country. PIC's inaugural function was conducted in Tamil Nadu in 2004 and later in Maharashtra.

The I and B Ministry had decided to launch PICs in all the States in a bigway. The PIC would be conducted for five days and during the period the developmental departments like the DRDA, ICDS, among others, would publicise their activities and achievements, the release added.
