PCC criticises Left Front govt on formation of Agiculture Commission
Kolkata, Aug 26 (UNI) The Congress today criticised the Left Front government for keeping aside the opposition parties from the state Agriculture Commission.
" It is unfortunate that the Commission has been constituted with members of only Left Parties and the opposition members have been left out from the Agriculture Commission", West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee working president Pradip Bhattacharjee told newspersons here.
State Agriculture Minister Naren De yesterday announced the constitution of the commission.
Mr Bhattacharjee said at least PCC's Kishan and Kshet Majdoor labour cell member should have been included in the Commission.
" We have sent a letter to Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and urged him to take necessary action regarding non-inclusion of opposition parties members ", Mr Bhattacharjee said.
WBPCC general secretary Manas Bhuiya alleged that the state was safe haven for terrorists, which was proved after arrest of two CID policemen in Siliguri yesterday.
The Congress also condemed the police lathicharge on medical students here on Thursday.
