Pak team to bring Sikh relic "Ganga Sagar" to Damdama Sahib

Amritsar, Aug 26 (UNI) A delegation from Pakistan, including Rai Aziz Ula Khan the custodian of the Sikh relic ''Ganga Sagar'' will arrive at Wagah border tomorrow with the sacred vessel which was presented to his ancestors by the tenth Guru Gobind Singh.

The delegation will be welcomed by a Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) before leaving for Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo, for the devotees on the occasion of the tercentenary of the ''Sampoornta Diwas'' being celebrated there.

Rai Aziz Ula Khan, a member of Pakistan National Assembly, is the ninth direct descendent of Rai Kala who had given shelter to Guru Gobind Singh in 1705 at Rai Kot (Ludhiana).

Pleased with the hospitality of Rai Kala, Guru Gobind Singh had presented him ''ganga sagar''- a pot with holes which can hold milk while the water flows through it- to him as a token of love.

He said he would bring this relic for darshan of Sikh sangat when desired by the Sikhs of Punjab (East).
