Fire Officer sent in judicial custody till Sep 8

New Delhi, Aug 26 (UNI) A special CBI court today sent a fire officer, arrested on charges of graft, in judicial custody till September 8.

Special CBI Judge G P Mittal sent Beer Singh, arrested red handed yesterday, in judicial custody.

Beer Singh had demanded Rs 12,000 from complainant Rajesh Kumar for releasing a fire report about his shop. Rajesh Kumar's gift item shop in Balbir Market was destroyed in a fire on August 22.

However, the deal was fixed at Rs 8,000.

The accused was arrested while accepting the money.
