5 die as wall of a factory collapses

Dehra Dun, Aug 26 (UNI) Five persons were killed and 3 others injured when the wall of a factory caved in following heavy rainfall at Uddhamsingh Nagar early today.

According to the Disaster Management and Mitigation Centre, at around 0300 hrs, five labourers died on the spot when the wall of the under construction Samriddhi Factory beside which they were sleeping caved in following heave rainfall. All the three injured have been admitted to district hospital, sources said.

Chief Minister N D Tiwari, expressing his condolence, has issued instructions to the Dstrict Administration to provide appropriate financial aid to the family of the deceased and injured persons.
