4 killed, 32 injured in two road accidents

Bangalore, Aug 26 (UNI) Four people were killed and 32 injured in two accidents in Karnataka today.

Two persons were killed and 25 injured when a Karnataka State Transport Corporation bus in which they were travelling overturned and fell into a dry tank near Periyapatna town in Mysore district.

Police said the mishap occurred as the driver lost control over the bus while negotiating a curve. The bus was proceeding from Periyapatna to Hanagudu.

The injured were admitted to the government hospital at Periyapatna and K R Hospital here.

In the other mishap, two people were killed and seven injured when a tractor in which they were travelling collided with a truck on the outskirts of Hiriyur in Chitradurga district.

Police said the tractor was on its way to Chitradurga from Hiriyur when the mishap occurred.

The injured were admitted to Chitradurga and Hiriyur general hospitals.
