Warm, humid weather persists in Delhi, some rains expected next week

New Delhi, Aug 25 (UNI) Warm and humid weather persisted in Delhi today even though westerly winds provided some relief from sultry conditions of yesterday.

Though there was a slight drop in maximum temperature to 34 degrees Ceslius, from 35.3 degrees C yesterday, high humidity level left Delhiites perspiring.

Some relief was, however, provided by a fresh wave of Westerly winds.

Meanwhile, after a short burst of heavy showers on Wednesday, Delhi witnessed another rainless day.

Some showers could, however, be expected by the end of the weekend or the beginning of next week with the weather office predicting rain and thundershowers at a few places over Himachal Pradesh and West Uttar Pradesh in the next two to three days which, in turn, could result in some rainfall in Delhi as well.

In fact, some heavy showers have been forecast for August 28.

The weather office has forecast a generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain and thundershowers in some areas during the next 24 hours.
