Tata Steel to felicitate Arjuna awardee Dola

Jamshedpur, Aug 25 (UNI) Tata Steel has decided to felicitate Dola Banerjee for being selected for the Arjuna Award for her achievement in archery.

Chief of sports department of Tata Steel Satish Pillai said the Asian Games gold medallist would be honoured on her return from SAF games being held in Sri Lanka.

Dola,who is now employed in Eastern Railways, was on contract with Tata Steel from 1997 to 2005.

Lauding her feat, Mr Pillai said, ''Tata Steel as well as entire Jharkhand is proud of Dola for this honour. She was attached to the state for long and (is) always welcome to the JRD Sports complex to hone her skill.'' Mr Pillai said the former Tata Steel cadet had expressed her desire to practise at Tata Archery Academy here and her request had been granted.
