New Delhi, Aug 25 (UNI) Reacting to the Kerala High Court's decision refusing to stay the state government ban on the manufacture and sale of the controversial colas, Pepsico reiterated the quality standard and safety of its products.

''Our products in India comply with the most stringent Indian and international regulations, including the new regulations for carbonated soft drinks notified by the Health Ministry on July 15, 2004,'' PepsiCo said in a statement issued today after the High Court ruling.

The company further stated that it follows one quality standard across the globe and is fully confident of the safety of its products.

The Division Bench of the Kerala High Court comprising Chief Justice V K Bali and Justice R Ramachandran, admitted the writ petition filed by Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages and Pepsico Holdings, challenging the Kerala Government ban on August 11.

The court has posted the matter for final disposal on September 11, 2006.

The court further ordered that no adjournments would be permitted.
