Nedumudi Venu bags Balan K Nair award

Kozhikode, Aug 25 (UNI) Noted actor Nedumudi Venu has been chosen for the maiden KTC 'Bharat' Balan K Nair award for his outstanding contribution to Malayalam film industry.

While speaking to reporters here Balan K Nair Memorial Committee Chairman P V Gangadharan said the award instituted by the Committee and sponsored by the KTC groups of companies in memory of the noted actor Balan K Nair, carries a cash prize of Rs 30,001 and a citation.

Febin Saboo Thomas of Kottayam bagged another award instituted by the Committee, for his excellent performance in Kerala State School Youth Festival.

Kerala Social Welfare and Health Minister P K Sreemathi would present the awards at a function to be held here tomorrow and veteran actor Madhu would deliver Balan K Nair memorial lecture.
