MP, Raj police officers meet on narcotics smuggling

Ujjain, Aug 25(UNI) Senior police and narcotics officials from Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan will meet here tomorrow to devise strategy to curb smuggling of narcotics drugs.

Additional DGP (Narcotics) Ramesh Sharma will lead the Madhya Pradesh team, while ADGP(CID) of Rajasthan will lead his team in the day-long meeting when lists of wanted criminals and nomadic criminal gangs of border districts would be exchanged.

Neemuch, Mandsaur and Ratlam districts in Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Jhalawar, Kota and Bundi districts in Rajasthan produce a sizeable portion of opium produced in the country.

Zonal IGs, DIGs and Superintendents of Police of all districts of Kota, Udaipur and Ujjain divisions would attend the meeting, according to Ujjain Range IG Anil Kumar.
