Low pressure likely in Bay of Bengal
Hyderabad, Aug 25 (UNI) Even as the people of flood-hit North Coastal Andhra Pradesh heaved a sigh of relief with the weakening of the low pressure which was moving further away from the state, the Met office today said a new system was likely over northwest Bay of Bengal by Sunday ''Numerical Weather Prediction models suggest formation of a fresh low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal around August 27. It was likely to increase rainfall activity initially over Orissa and later in Gangetic West Bengal,'' it said.
There would be increase in rainfall activity over Orissa after two days, it said.
Isolated rain/thundershowers were likely to occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema in the next 48 hours.
There were chances of rainfall in some parts of the state capital, it said.
Rain occurred at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh. It was Isolated over Telangana and Rayalaseema.
The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm are Guntur (3) and malapuram, Dowlaiswaram, Piduguralla Tadepalligudem (2).
