Mumbai, Aug 25 (UNI) Bollywood star Jimmy Shergill, who is known for his performances in films like Gulzar's 'Maachis' and Naseerudin Shah's 'Yun Hota To Kya Hota', says that he is hungry, not insecure about his roles.

Speaking to UNI Jimmy said, ''My journey from 'Maachis' to 'Bas Ek Pal' has been slow but steady. I am more than happy as I have been here for more than 11 years. This is my twelfth year. It was overwhelming to get a break in Gulzar's film. I was a small-time actor who had done his acting course from Roshan Taneja. I never faced a camera in my life. With Gulzar I learn't filmmaking and more.'' On his role in Naseerudin Shah's 'Yun Hota To Kya Hota' Jimmy said, ''I have respect for Naseer because of his films and I wanted to be a part of his film, no matter the length of the role.'' On his role in the soon to be releasing 'Bas Ek Pal' he said, ''In the film nobody is against anybody. Onir is a fanastic and sensitive director. After 'My Brother' Nikhil, he did not want to be stuck up in the same slot, he wants to make different films and the music of the film looks promising.'' Being part of 'Lage Raho Munnabhai', he said, ''It is a completely different story altogether. 'Munna' and 'Circuit' are the only constants. As long as I am a part of the film, even if it is two scenes, I am happy.'' He clarified, ''I did 'Hum Tum' which was not a performance oriented role. I am thankful to Yashraj films for giving me roles in 'Mohabattein' and ''Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai.'' His future projects are 'Eklavya' with Amitabh Bachchan, 'Delhi Heights' and few others. His all-time favourites are 'American Histoy X' and 'Love me if you Dare'. Hollywood actors Matt Dhillon and Ethne Hawke inspire him, he said.
