Home Ministry denies reports about advisory for Ganesh festival
New Delhi, Aug 25 (UNI) The Union Home Ministry tonight denied reports that it had issued an advisory to all states, especially Maharashtra, warning against possible strikes by Pakistan-based terror groups during the ten-day Ganesh festival from Sunday.
"We have not issued any advisory in the context of the Ganesh festival," a spokesman of the Home Ministry said here.
He, however, pointed out that the ministry had issued an advisory to all the states in the context of the Independence Day on August 15 last.
The spokesman said the report was not based on any official information and feared that such reports would help only to create scare and panic among the people.
