Governor and Chief Minister to grace the Pang Lhabsol festival

Gangtok, Aug 25 (UNI) Pang Lhabsol Committee has planned to celebrate the Pang Lhabsol festival in the capital in a grand manner this year.

The festival is observed since time immemorial in reverence to the guardian deities of Sikkim.

Committee President Thuchuk Lachungpa said here today that this year Governor V Rama Rao and Chief Minister Pawan Chamling have given consent to grace the function on September 7.

The committee has also planned to organise dance, essay and painting competitions to mark the event and distribute cash awards to the winners.

A cultural extravaganza by artists from outside the state would be organised on September 6 evening to entertain the people, he said.
