Block Pramukh surrenders in BSP leader's murder case
Varanasi, Aug 25 (UNI) The Block Pramukh of Cholapur Development Block surrendered before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court here today in connection with the 2005 killing of BSP leader Abhishek Yadav 'Guddu'.
Block Pramukh of Cholapur, Tribhuvan Singh, also the brother District Cooperative Bank chairman and mafioso Vinit Singh, surrendered before the court of CJM P N Srivastava this afternoon.
The CJM later ordered that Tribhuvan be sent to 14-day judicial custody. Tribhuvan is among the four accused in the case, including his brother Vinit Singh.
The BSP leader Abhishek Yadav, who had contested the last Uttar Pradesh assembly elections from Varanasi Cantt seat was shot dead by criminals in the Badagaon area of the district on July 20, 2005.
