Bank of Baroda targets Kerala for expansion
Dubai, Aug 25: Bank of Baroda (BoB) is going to launch its Core Banking Solutions in Oman and plans to open more branches in Kerala as part of its expansion plans.
Chairman and Managing Director of BoB Anil K Khandelwal, who is visiting Oman to launch its Core Banking Solution (CBS), networking its branches, said Kerala is targeted for branch expansion.
The CBS network would be implemented across the Bank's 600 branches throughout India by September this year and another 1,000 branches by March 2007, including its 60 overseas branches in 20 countries.
The rollout of CBS in Kerala will be given top priority and nearly 25 branches per week will be IT-enabled as ''most of the expatriate workforce is from Kerala'', he said.
