SW monsoon active over East MP

Pune, Aug 24 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been active over east Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh.

It has been subdued over west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Kutch, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in Orissa, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwda, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, east Madhya Pradesh and at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Orissa, Jharkahdn, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Konkan and Goa.

Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, west Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Surashtra, Kutch, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, north interior Karnataka, Andaman, Nicobar nd Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka and Kerala.
