Student commits suicide, lady lawyer beaten up
New Delhi, Aug 24 (UNI) A class 9th student of Bharti Mata Public School in North West Delhi allegedly commited suicide due to pre exam stress last night.
Vikrant Singh hung himself from the ceiling of his house in Swapantra Nagar according to sources. His exams were to begin today and he was reportedly not prepared.
His father is an Assistant Sub Inspector with the RPF.
Meanwhile, a lady advocate was today beaten up in a High Court chamber in Tilak Nagar area of New Delhi this morning.
Hiteshi Arora, a divorcee in her 30's, was sitting in her chamber when her brother-in-law Rakesh and his brother Ramesh, barged in and beat her up. She was allegedly gagged and tied to a chair, according to sources.
She was admitted to the RML hospital and suffered a left elbow fracture. She was later shifted to a Faridabad hospital.
A case has been registered at the Tilak Marg police station.
A property dispute is said to be the reason behind the incident.
