NTPC signs MoU with Delhi Transco, Haryana Power Generation Co

New Delhi, Aug 24 (UNI) State owned power major National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) today said it has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Delhi Transco Ltd for exploring the possibility of expanding its Badarpur Thermal Power Station (BTPS) by adding 2 x 490 MW units subject to environmental and other clearances.

The company has also signed a MoU with Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd and Indraprastha Power Generation Co Ltd (A Govt.

of NCT of Delhi Undertaking) to establish a 1500 MW Coal Based Power Plant in Haryana.

The Plant shall be set up by the company on concept to commissioning basis for the exclusive use of Haryana and Delhi on long-term management contract of at least 25 years on terms to be decided.
