No evidence of terrorist activities in Kerala: DGP
Kozhikode, Aug 24 (UNI) Director-General of Kerala Police Ramon Srivastava today said there was no concrete evidence of terrorist activities in the state.
However, he said the government was in the process of setting up anti-terrorist squads similar to that of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra to face any eventualities.
He was talking to newspersons after addressing a meeting of police officers from Kozhikode, Malappuram and Wayanad on ''how to make police people-friendly.'' As part of the plan the government would set up police adalats in every police range to make the force more people-friendly, he said.
The adalat would start functioning from October onwards, the DGP said.
He said the government was also planning to implement the recently enacted Gooda Act in a month.
