Nalan Chakravarthulu Krishnamacharulu passes away

Vijayawada, Aug 24: Renowned musician Nalan Chakravarthula Krishnamacharulu died of old age at his residence this morning.

He was 84 and is surivived by his wife, three sons and four daughters.

Born in 1923 at Jaggaiahpeta in Krishna district, Mr Krishnamacharulu served as a top grade artiste in All India Radio for three and half decades and enthralled the listeners with his programmes.

A pandit in Sanskrit and Telugu, he had written several books and received 'Gana Kala Prapurna' award from the Andhra Pradesh Sangeeta Natika Academy.

The cremation would take place this evening.
