Mr Reddy was stopped from revealing real evidence: Siddaramaiah

Mysore, Aug 24 (UNI) Former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Congress leader S Siddaramaiah today alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party central leadership stopped its suspended MLC Janardhana Reddy from revealing the real evidence against Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy in the Rs 150-crore mining bribery case.

Addressing party workers here, Mr Siddaramaiah said that former Prime Minister A B Vajpayee and L K Advani had persuaded Mr Reddy from disclosing the original CD which had full evidence on the involvement of Mr Kumaraswamy in the bribery case.

He said that only an inquiry by CBI can bring out the truth.

Mr Siddaramaiah charged former Prime Minister and JD-S President H D Devegowda of running the JD(S)-BJP government in the state by proxy. ''The family members of Mr Gowda are the real rulers in this State. They are even overruling the decisions taken by Ministers and imposing their own decisions which suited their corrupt ways,'' he accused.

Mr Siddaramaiah said the coalition government will fall soon and JD-S would be wiped out from the state politics as Congress was well poised for a clean sweep in the elections whenever it was held.

''People are fed up with the 'family rule' of Mr Gowda', he added.

The September three Convention in Bangalore when the AIPJD would formally merge with the Congress would create a history in the state politics, he added.
